Acting training

What is the Palme Theatre Studio and what happens on this planet of creativity?

Over the course of 29 years, Palmé has nurtured several generations of interesting, vibrant personalities who create plays and performances with inspiration and love. The theatre sees this as its mission and purpose. The word ‘Palmé’ itself is not only a surname, but also a credo: a breakthrough of an actor’s love, skill and energy.

How it works

From September to June

All age groups engage in:

  • acting lessons,
  • stage speech,
  • vocals,
  • stage movement and dance.

For those interested, there is an art studio for young stage artists.

During the classes, performances and shows are prepared.

July

Holidays

August

My favourite summer camp, where:

  • Russian language skills are strengthened,
  • classes in stage movement are held,
  • we read plays and poems by the campfire,
  • we sing, eat delicious food,
  • go on trips to the mountains, rivers, lakes and waterfalls,
  • take part in master classes, including even sailing.

Screenings

  • At the end of October — on the theatre’s birthday (27 October),
  • New Year’s and charity Christmas performances,
  • In spring, an adult play is released (we continue showing it for a month, then translate it into English and finish in autumn),
  • In early June — Children’s Creativity Festival.

What is particularly important to us

For Palmovka members, an atmosphere of creativity and mutual respect is important. On stage, young performers can stand alongside adults as full partners.

Disrespect, foul language, vulgarity are not permitted.

It is not customary to celebrate holidays with alcohol.

Let’s keep an eye on proper Russian speech — not only on stage

Discipline is very important: tardiness and absences are only acceptable for valid reasons.

If you have been given a role, it means you are responsible to your partners and the whole team. Taking a break during the season is highly undesirable. Mutual support is key: if someone falls ill, be ready to step in.
